Note:  A few years back when Rex and I were vacationing in southern Utah we stopped an a Trading Post to shop.  The Post sold jewelry made by the Indians from the area.  One necklace caught my eye and it was a strand just like the above, but just turquoise.  It was stunning.  So was the price-$1500!  I knew that I could search and find the turquoise to make my own.  I found a beautiful strand a while back and now its available for a fraction of the price!

My niece Kinsey Larson requested a Rock Quartz necklace, but she wanted me to use Vintaj Natural Brass for the metal and add some Sterling Silver..I went back to the studio and thought it wouldn't work...the warm rich colors of the brass would look cold against the silver.  Boy, was I wrong!  As I started to design the earrings and necklace (see Vintaj Rock Quartz photo) I was hooked...the brass, silver and rock quartz looked dazzling together.  Thank You Kinsey for the challenge!  Kinsey and her sister Kari both have a version of these earrings and the necklace and wore them on the holiday cruise they took over Christmas.
