This necklace is an example of a custom design piece. Photo #1: features a copper "dog tag" pendant that could be stamped with most anything...name, verse, sports (player) number, just to name a few. The bead I created for this piece was in the theme of the school colors...red, white and blue.
Photo #2: features a copper basketball with the player number stamped on it. (Thank you Cindy Hanson for the challenge! She called me inquiring about the dog tag piece above and then challenged me to "could you make it look like a basketball? From there we both searched did a "google" search on how to draw a basketball. I went into the studio, cut a piece of copper, formed some annealed iron wire into the shapes I wanted and hammered the iron into the copper...I was thrilled with my first try! She requested her bead match her school colors of black and orange. She also had me stamp a verse on the back. I'm always up for a challenge!
Both pieces are strung on 1.5mm premium leather cording with a pair of double fisherman's bend knots for easy adjusting...it slips over the head and you move the knots to achieve the length you like.
